TIP is Here!
(Technology Immersion Project)

Cunningham Middle School is very proud and excited to have been selected to be one of the few schools in Texas to be part of this tremendous project!

The Technology Immersion Project (TIP) is a ground breaking education technology project being conducted by the Texas Education Agency.

Components of Technology Immersion

Technology immersion involves providing every teacher and every student with six key resources

   1. A wireless mobile computing device for every student and teacher in the program

   2. Productivity software for both students and teachers

   3. Online content in the core curriculum areas for teachers and students

   4. Online formative assessment tools for students

   5. Ongoing professional development for teachers

   6. On demand technical support

(At Cunningham, we will be implementing this project at the eight grade level only).

Project Outcome

TIP and the immersion package are designed to create a “technology immersed” grade level — one that uses technology as a bridge to more engaged, relevant, meaningful, and personalized student learning.

The end goal for campuses using an immersion package is a teaching and learning environment are…

    * Technology is integrated into teaching and learning via ongoing professional development for teachers.

    * Technology provides greater levels of student interest, inquiry, collaboration and content production.

    * Technology provides anytime, anywhere learning for students, through a variety of delivery systems.
